Commissioning
a piece of artwork can be a very fun and exciting process. This
page is meant to guide you through the process of obtaining a portrait
for your collection.
The
most important factor to a successful painting is good reference
photos. All photos will be returned though I can not guarantee them
due to unforeseen events (and yes I have had my dog eat someone's
photo!) Several photos taken in natural sunlight works best. It
is a good idea to get down to your subject's level when capturing
a good photograph. If you want any special items to be included
in the painting be sure to get photographs of these items as well.
It may be a favorite toy your dog loves and will give the piece
more meaning to you.
Once
we have agreed on the photos that are useable, I require a 25% non-refundable
deposit is for painting to start. I will work with you to make sure
we are both satisfied with the finished painting and will email
you photographs of the finished work. You are not obliged to pay
the balance if you are not happy with finished work.
Portraits
can be any dimension you want. Here is a table of my price ranges
for sizes given to help give you an idea of a ballpark figure. I
only use high artist quality materials and paint on archival surfaces.
If your painting is a soft pastel, the finished painting is also
sprayed with a fixative to ensure its safety and long life.

Payment
is required after you approve the portrait. Payment can be made
either by personal check (with a holding period of bank clearance),
money order, cashier's check, or if you are a Paypal member can
pay via credit card.
Due
to increased shipping costs and risks, I do not frame your work.
I will try to mat it for you if the size permits. Shipping costs
varies and you will receive a quote from the artist.
