mom, please. Can I go to the dance tonight, can I? I promise to
be home by whatever time you say. All my friends are going, and
I really, really have to go too. I'm almost a teenager. mom. Go
on, mom. I bet when you were my age, grandma let you go to the
dance with all your mates. I bet she did. No one will ever speak
to me again if I don't go. I will be the only girl who wasn't
allowed to go. How bad will that be for me, mom. Go on. Let me
go to the dance. Katie is going, so is Sammy. Martha is going,
and Petra's mum said she can go if I go. Be a sport, mom. I'll
do the dishes for a month.. and I'll tidy my room before I go.........I'll
tidy YOUR room..................
